Welcome to our Hankook 24H Barcelona 2024 Motorsport Photography Workshop taking place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. This will be the 25th annual Hankook 24hr Barcelona.
On this Motorsport photography workshop you can expect an all access pass for the full race weekend (Fri-Sun). This workshop includes media accreditation, meaning you will get the opportunity to get up close and personal with the cars and drivers as you shoot trackside, in the pit lane and at the podium. This fully accredited workshop allows you and your camera to get unprecedented access to the famous Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
You will also get to experience the VIP hospitality, hang out with drivers, team personnel and sponsors throughout the weekend along with having access to breakfast, lunch and dinner, hot and cold drinks plus snacks at all times. Also included is a midnight snack on race day to keep you going.
We will be staying close to the circuit and all transport to and from the circuit is included. You will not have to worry about any of the logistics all weekend as we have you covered from start to finish, allowing you to completely focus on the photography and experience.
The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is home to the Spanish F1 Grand Prix and you will get to experience Motorsport just like the pros.
There will also be a training event at Castle Combe circuit prior to departure to build up your experience of working trackside and in a live pit lane.

The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is home to the Spanish F1 Grand Prix and you will get to experience Motorsport just like the pros. You will get to shoot from various locations across the circuit in the company of Mike Widdowson.
You will get the opportunity to photograph a variety of touring cars including GT3, GTX, Porsche 911’s and more.
With qualifying sessions along with a night time practice session, you will get the opportunity to really practice and hone your Motorsport photography skills and techniques throughout this workshop.
The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is a motorsport race track in Montmeló, Catalonia, Spain. With long straights and a variety of corners, it is seen as an all-rounder circuit

The Full Weekend VIP hospitality packages includes:
Access to the Endurance Lounge at all times.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner on all days. Lunch and dinner will be offered as a varied buffet, which includes salads, main courses, desserts, snacks and a variety of hot and soft drinks.
Midnight snack on the Saturday night during the race.

MONDAY 26TH AUGUST 2024:
You MUST attend this event in order to travel to Barcelona, so please ensure you are available for this day when booking this workshop.
This one day event at Castle Combe circuit will equip you with the right level of understanding and knowledge to be able to participate in the 24H Barcelona event. We will spend time teaching you the dos' and dont's of working trackside, safety training and expectations of media accreditation. We will guide you through all aspects of working as a photographer trackside and prepare you for Barcelona.
Also included is the hospitality package throughout the day. This includes breakfast, lunch and both hot and cold drinks (non-alcoholic).
Accommodation on Sunday 25th August is also included. Rooms will be on a shared basis (twin rooms) with breakfast included.
NB: This day is primarily about safety and trackside training. Whilst we will still undertake plenty of photography throughout the day, please bear in mind that this is a training day.

Mike Widdowson is a very experienced motorsport photographer, covering events trackside for 10 years.
Mike has covered from Grass root National series all the way up to World Endurance Championship races around the world.
Sports cars is really Mike’s speciality, where he really looks to bring the viewer in and put them beside him with his images and live the race through his eyes.
Mike has worked with clients such as McLaren, BMW, Aston Martin, as well as many other teams and drivers. These world leading brands have all worked with Mike over the years so it’s safe to say you will be able to learn a lot from Mike’s experience of photographing the world of motorsport and especially endurance racing, such as the Barcelona 24 Hour Race.
24H Barcelona - What’s On Track:

GT3
GT3 cars abide by a set of regulations mantained by the FIA for grand tourer racing cars, designed for use in various series throughout the world.
GTX
GTX is a group of cars which have been added to create a wider variety of cars.
Porsche 911
Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992) cars.
GT4
In the GT4 class, the specific GT4 regulations are applicable. Same as GT3 cars, these cars must be based on mass production road cars.
TCR
TCR-homologated car which is based on 4 or 5 door production cars, and are powered by 2.0 litre turbocharged engines.
TCX
Special Touring Cars and some GT-cars with approximately the performance of TCR cars.
TC
The performance guideline of the TC class is: Cars that are slower than class TCR and TCX
