Welcome to our Strasbourg In Spring Photography Tour. On this 4 day and 3 night tour we will be exploring the beautiful city of Strasbourg along with some of the surrounding areas and towns.
Strasbourg, located in the Alsace region of northeastern France, is a charming city with a rich history and beautiful architecture. The city is the region's capital and exudes a beautiful mix of culture, heritage and charm, mostly a mixture of French and German influences. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There is no doubt that you will fall in love with city within seconds of arriving!
The photography tuition on this tour will be aimed at beginner level and is aimed specifically at those looking to get into travel photography as a potential career. We will cover the very basics of camera setup, different terminology, composition, using natural light and how to approach travel photography as a genre. We will show you examples of travel features from different magazines as inspiration, talk you through the dos and don’ts of travel photography, the best spots for golden hour and sunrise each day and we will also provide you with a brief to follow as if you were on assignment for a real travel magazine.

In spring, the city comes alive with vibrant colours, blooming flowers, and a pleasant atmosphere. Spring is a wonderful time to visit as Strasbourg's cobblestone streets and squares are adorned with colourful flowers, creating a picturesque and inviting environment. In the lead up to Easter, the streets and shops are filled with seasonal sights and treats. There is plenty of incredible architecture for us to photograph, such as the iconic Strasbourg Cathedral, a stunning masterpiece of Gothic architecture. In spring, you can enjoy the cathedral against the backdrop of blooming trees and flowers adding further to already beautiful compositions for photography. Climbing the Cathedral tower will provide us with impressive views across the city.
Included in the price is a luxury yacht trip, giving us the opportunity to photograph the city from the famous waterways, offering us a different perspective for photos. There will also be plenty of time for coffee drinking whilst we stroll Strasbourg’s beautiful cobbled streets.
We will venture outside of Strasbourg on day trips to visit nearby towns such as Colmar, another beautiful town in the Alsace region. Colmar is known for its well-preserved medieval architecture, colourful timber-framed houses, and charming canals. Spring brings an explosion of colours as flowers bloom, creating a picturesque and romantic atmosphere giving us plenty of scenes and subjects to photograph. Typically quieter than Strasbourg, this stunning town provides us with a scene taken straight out of a Disney fairy tale - think Beauty and the Beast. Colmar's unique blend of history, culture, and natural beauty makes it a delightful destination in spring, offering a magical setting for those who appreciate picturesque landscapes.
Both Strasbourg and Colmar offer a perfect blend of cultural richness and natural beauty with plenty of photographic opportunities. Whether you are a travel photographer, street photographer, portrait or landscape photographer this tour is a feast for everyone.
