About AMPA

Amateur Motorsport Photography Awards

What is it all about and who is it for?

The Amateur Motorsport Photography Awards (AMPA) was created in 2024 by The Photographic Adventure Company Ltd.

Greg, the founder and director of The Photographic Adventure Company Ltd realised that there was very little acknowledgement or appreciation of all the fantastic amateur motorsport photographers who dedicate their weekends and more attending race circuits and race events across the UK. The Amateur Motorsport Photography Awards has been created to offer a place to celebrate all the fantastic motorsport images that are captured from the spectator side of the fence. Very rarely are the fan images celebrated and appreciated as much as they should be.

Through AMPA, we aim to bring some of the very best fan and spectator images to the forefront of the motorsport world, offering all amateur photographers the chance to enter a competition dedicated purely to them.

With the help of our industry leading and generous sponsors, we are able to bring you a unique and exciting competition.

If you would like to enter AMPA, then please ensure you read our eligibility criteria above before entering.

Why is there an entry fee?

Amateur Motorsport Photography Awards

How does the entry fee get used?

If you pre-registered then entry is FREE.

Income from entry fees is vital in order for us to cover project management, administration and website costs for running the competition. We have big ambitions to grow the Amateur Motorsport Photography Awards to reach new audiences around the UK and eventually across the world. Money will be reinvested into the competition to help sustain its continued growth. We have worked very hard to keep the entrance fee as low as possible.

Without income from the entry fees and the extremely generous support from our sponsors and partners, this competition would not be possible.

We passionately believe in providing this opportunity and platform for amateur and budding motorsport photographers and we look forward to continually developing the competition to scale new heights. The entry fee will allow this to be possible.
